ou may have heard about medical vacations to Thailand, India or
other exotic destinations, but have you ever thought of a dental vacation?
Well, here in Merida, Yucatan, you can find a great dentist with great
prices, and get your work done while enjoying the warmth of the Yucatan
people and weather.
We know that having dental work can be frightening, nerve wracking and
downright painful. But so many of us wait until we have serious problems
that demand lots of work, because we have no dental insurance. Now you can
have affordable first rate dental work, by highly
trained dentists, and have the luxury of saving money in the process.
Whether it be dental implants, root planing, veneers or whitening...or full
dentures, bridges (removable and permanent) or cleanings, you can rest
assured that your work will be top of the line! If you have a week or a
month, you can arrange a schedule of work ahead of time with the dentist so
you can be on your way.
We are working to offer an easy plan that will offer you accommodations,
transportation to and from dental appointments, and even a rental cell phone
to allow you to access your dental professional and local numbers, without
taking a big bite out of your budget! The dentists we work with are looking
forward to offering you same-price-as-locals, with established prices that
don't vary for "gringos." And the recommended dentists speak English so you
can communicate more easily.

It has been our experience that dental procedures here cost a small
percentage of what they do in the U.S. We have arranged for people to
come here, stay for 2-3 weeks, have their dental work done...and it cost
less than the dental procedure alone "at home." We have friends that were
here on vacation, had toothaches, went to local dentists, and after
experiencing the work, asked for more dental work while here! One friend
went for a root canal, and ended up getting 2 dental implants to boot.

Our personal experience? For each extraction my husband and I have had
(including the time in the office) it cost about $45. My husband had a
broken tooth rebuilt and it cost just under $55. My removable 4-tooth bridge
was less than $500, including the office visits. We know your experience my
vary (and we have to say this...) but we believe you will not be able to
match the price, with the first-rate quality...and still be able to have a
vacation!
